The Gypsy Journal bus is for sale! You’re read about our entire bus conversion project on our website and in the Gypsy Journal, and now it’s time for us to move on. We have lived in this 1976 MCI 40 foot conversion since we built it, and it has been a comfortable home on wheels for us.

Features include a Maytag 18.4 cubic foot residential style refrigerator, Avanti stainless steel range with oven, double stainless steel kitchen sink, solid oak cabinets, lots of counter space, pull out drawers and pantry, apartment size bathtub, Maytag apartment size washer & dryer, Progressive Industries Electrical Management System, tons of storage inside and out.

Air suspension makes for a comfortable ride, leather driver and passenger seats, sofa with storage underneath, bus is very well insulated for both hot and cold weather comfort, rooftop AC, huge bays, almost unlimited carrying capacity, slide out trays in two bays, tires are very good.

Bus is set up for extended boondocking with three 8D AGM house batteries, 2,000 watt Magnum Energy pure sine wave inverter, five solar panels totaling 540 watts, Onan 5500 watt gas generator, 110 gallon fresh water tank, 110 gallon gray/black tank.

Detroit Diesel 8V71 engine with Jake brake, block heater, four speed Allison automatic transmission, radiator mister system, 10,000 pound towing capacity. Steering has been upgraded to Ross style, all new front end done two yeas ago (bushing, tie rods, etc.), along with air bags. 1956 Scenicruiser conversion for sale by owner. Re-painted to match original exterior. Great condition. 8-71 with 4-sp manual. Large water and black/grey tanks. Power Tech deisel generator. 2 new batteries. When purchased, was driven 3,000 miles and parked at the Wheels Of Yesterday Museum in West Ocean City, Maryland. Regularly started and driven. Stored in warehouse in winter. Large rear bed, two twin beds, dinette/bed, and sofa bed. Full bath with shower, sink, and toilet. Large appliances in kitchen. Beautifully upholstered bukkheads and rear bedroom. Have complete manuals for coach and appliances. This is a comfortable, reliable and unique conversion of a Scenicruiser.
